How Your Dreams Speak!

How Your Dreams Speak!

See how a very complicated dream was interpreted, and how it helped Cindy with her big project.

Dr. Van Houten (612-866-1269) can help you interpret your puzzling dream too.

Testimonial by Cindy R:

The minute I woke up, I knew my dream had deep meaning, but I had no idea how to interpret it. My intuition kicked in and said "Call Sheila"! I am so grateful for her expert guidance.

I was surprised and amazed at what she saw! Some of her interpretations made sense, others I had to think about....That was 2 days ago, and I am thrilled to see how the pieces are coming together and playing out.

In real life, I am working on a big project. This dream gave me pause.  I knew I was close to a real 'treasure' but my messenger Hawk had 'bitten off more than he could chew', and something wasn't right.

Today it came to me- the missing piece to my project. I fixed the issue and am very, very thankful for the gentle warning from Spirit to take a closer look, and forever grateful for Sheila's expertise to put the pieces together. Cindy R., Minneapolis

Cindy’s basic dream was that she was in her fishing boat, caught a beautiful blue fish, noticed a bird trying to swallow a golf club, left the boat and keys with two guys from Florida, and went to help the bird.

The two guys from Florida took the boat to some row houses and were going to hide it there. Cindy went to get her boat but they wouldn’t give it to her. They told her she had abandoned it and it was now theirs.

She tried to get others to help her, but no one would help, no one understood.

She was afraid and felt guilty thinking she had made a bad mistake in trusting the two guys from Florida and that her husband would be so angry that she had lost his fishing tackle and the boat.

I asked her to write down and describe all the objects in the dream, and this is what she wrote:

THE BOAT: it is my existing boat- I/O Larson fish and ski boat. It was that exact boat with all the stuff we normally haul around, it felt and smelled like my exact boat.

MY PURSE, MY PHONE, MY KEYS: I had my I phone with me, losing battery at the end. I don't remember having my purse, just remember thinking that I didn't leave it in the boat, that they didn't get anything of personal value.

DESCRIBE BAY AREA:  Very pretty day, calm, sunny, pretty Minnesota looking place, blue water, Trees along shore.

DESCRIBE PRETTY   BLUE FISH: This looked like a tropical fish-BEAUTIFUL. Round, plumpish, cobalt blue, same color on fins, with a bit of yellow highlight (I think).

It surprised me, that it lived in Wisconsin. I also kept it and put it in another container of water, to use it as bait to catch bigger fish.

I remember my inner self twinging at the thought of killing that beautiful fish to catch a bigger fish.  My brain kicked in and said, “But that is what you are supposed to do, all the experts do it”. I hoped the beautiful fish would live outside the lake in my little bucket, just told myself I would deal with that later, and to stop listening to my gut.

2 GUYS FROM FLORIDA: Good looking, looked like brothers or twins, but said they were uncle and nephew. Up from Florida to do Ironman. Sandy/dirty blonde hair, very thick, longish cut. Very tan- leathery skin and color. They looked street smart in a way. You know how some people make you feel comfortable right away? They didn't, but they didn't make me feel uncomfortable either.

Had a slight twinge as I left the boat with them, but helping the bird was more important.

If you are an ironman athlete, they are trustworthy, helping people, so that is why I trusted them.

BIG BIRD: It was like a huge hawk. One that would walk around like a crane would, but it was a hawk.

GOLF CLUB: Handle was in throat, like he tried to swallow it. I was upset with mankind for leaving it around, then thought how strange he would try and eat it.

REGULAR WOOD CLUB: Brown leather- wrapped handle (some was still showing),metal club, wood head (I am not a golfer, by the way.......).

HOW I MANAGED TO GET OVER TO BOAT: They drove across the lake, I saw where they went, I followed by land (It was closer by land). Pretty sure I walked, but don't really remember. Don't recall keys or car.

IDEA OF ABANDONED BOAT: There were some oldish wooden row houses on the lake. They brought the boat to the last house. I knocked on the door.  It was the guys’ old uncle that answered. They were about to drive the boat into a boathouse and they said it was theirs, that I had abandoned it, gave it to them (or something like that) and it was their boat.  I doubted myself. I never TOLD them to watch my boat for ME, I just said I had to help the bird and gave them the keys....so maybe it is correct that they ASSUMED I gave them the boat. Maybe I didn't do the correct thing legally.  I doubted myself.

NO ONE WOULD LISTEN OR HELP ME: I called 911 as I was running for the boat. Got a woman on the line, she didn't understand my problem, I left the boat, so it was my problem....she would not help me.

MADDENS RESORT: Was down on the left from the rowhouses, went there for help, I used to know the management (in real life) so I thought they would listen to me, but no one was left that I knew, and the woman I talked to didn't get it either.

911 CALL: Called again after Maddens, they passed the phone to two men who understood my 'case' (as told by the first operator) and basically treated me like I was wrong, I was nuts, and to go home and forget about it.

ATTORNEY: Was thinking I had to do something, Scott would be SO ANGRY at ME!!  It was my fault!!! Couldn't ask my parents for an attorney’s name, they would just worry about me. Afraid to tell people how stupid I was.

Dr. S: Couldn't think of the right person to call for attorney (was running it by my gut, couldn't think of the right person to call- and Dr. S popped into my head (going thru legal issues in real life, she has a great attorney!).  I KNEW she was the one to call!  Plus, she lives in Wisconsin and knows the laws in that state.  PHEW!!  I called to get her attorney’s name.  Her assistant answered. Dr. S was busy fixing breakfast for everyone. I asked her to find out her attorney’s name, and that is when I woke up.

Bottom line, I had that internal 'guilt' that I was wrong, stupid of me. Was trying to 'justify' that I was right but I really felt that it was my fault. Worried about the costs of the legal bill, thinking I may lose in the end anyway, and knew Scott would be so mad at me that I let them take the boat and all his fishing gear.

This came to me as I was thinking about it.  TOTALLY from my brain, not my gut, so not sure it is right. What if the valuable thing wasn't my boat, but they took it for the fish???

THANK YOU!!!!  Cindy

Dr. Van Houten’s interpretation and Technique:

Cindy, every item in your dream is a part of who you are. You described yourself in your own words!  See what you wrote about yourself:

You are very pretty, sunny, pretty as a sunny day in Minnesota.....

You are BEAUTIFUL.

You are round, plumpish, cobalt blue, a beautiful color.

You might be able to use yourself as bait to catch bigger fish.....

You don't want to kill yourself or your beauty....

You hope that you and your beauty can live in the little bucket outside of the water so you can deal with yourself later....

You are setting yourself aside to pursue your goal.

You are also a huge hawk.  You can walk around like a crane, but you are really a hawk. A hawk is a bird of prey with incredible vision and skill.

Your prey (the boat) is your goal, and you have incredible vision and skill to achieve it.

You think how strange you would try and eat a golf club. A golf club is pretty hard to swallow!!  Are you trying to bite off too much at once?  Are your goals ungainly and difficult to achieve? Do they need to be broken down into more manageable parts?

You are able to walk to your goal (the boat).  It's closer to achieve your goal by walking than it is by water.  The boat is your goal.

You feel no one understands or can help you or is willing to help you resolve this whole situation about the boat (goal). It seems out of reach and you are afraid you have lost both the goal, your husband's fishing tackle AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL BLUE SELF along with it!!!

NOW we can understand that the true meaning of the dream is that you are afraid you will lose your goal, lose sight of it, somebody might take it and try to hide it from you, you feel you cannot manage your goal the way it is now, too hard to swallow, your hawk self cannot swallow it whole.

NOW we can understand that NO ONE can help you with your goal the way it is, it has to be broken down into smaller goals, and then you won't have to seek the help of others, you will be able to manage it piece by piece, just calling on others to take part in your dream by building your company.

NOW you are ready to go back into your dream and reconstruct it to your own liking and thereby reclaim your beautiful self trying to survive in that bucket, and your goal, and your husband's stuff, and nobody will be able to take anything away from you, and your husband will not be mad at you after all.

NOW we see that you do not need THIS guilt either, because you haven't done a single thing to be guilty about!!  But do the mirror/jewels on that piece of guilt anyway, just to get it out of your system and transform it.  (Cindy and I had done some soul-retrieval work around guilt.)

So, give me a call if you would like me to help you to reconstruct the dream point by point over the phone!

I would also say be on the lookout for two guys from Florida who may not have your best interests at heart!
