Chanting is a sacred form of prayer used by people the world over, and it is used IN ADDITION TO religious prayer, not in place of it. In fact, many world religions incorporate chanting into their ceremonies. For instance, Catholics chant in Latin. Sanskrit chanting is sacred sounds for very specific intentions. It is wonderful to know that the SOUNDS of chanting actually create natural opiates in the body, generate feelings of well being, and assist in bringing about desired outcomes. They work, too.
Here's one you can try out to see for yourself. The chant for PEACE is NAM YA HO RING GAY KEY O. Memorize it, and use it whenever you need to feel peace. The sound of this chant brings you, and the planet, the vibration of PEACE.
